Mission

HopeOneSource is a social impact program powered by Hope With Love, a volunteer-led 501(c)3 non-profit, that leverages technology for good. We connect our most vulnerable neighbors to nearby and verified services they need with dignity, security, and hope.

How We Do It

We do this by empowering service providers with outreach technology that enables safe and efficient communication about their services with their existing participants, and the public they aim to serve. They also receive dynamic data insights to help with reporting and funding.

Our Beginnings

HopeWithLove’s (HWL) HopeOneSource program started in Haiti in 2010 with the goal to use local available technology to connect verified services to unmet needs for medical service providers after the major Haiti earthquake. The efforts were stopped there in 2013, due to the need for a local presence.

2015 to Present

In 2015, HopeOneSource founder Tim Underwood and his wife Allie went undercover to experience homelessness in DC for four days and three nights, where they identified a gap similar to Haiti in the need to effectively and efficiently connect vulnerable people to verified nearby services they need for rapid and sustainable resolution. After this experience, Tim began working with others to bring the HopeOneSource technology to the DC metropolitan region, which it has continuously expanded. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Tim resigned from his federal job to advance this charitable social impact technology full-time.
